Generator AMF Relay - AMF1, AMF2

Automatic Starting, Stopping & Changeover operation of D. G. Set.

Operation
It constantly monitors the Main supply.
As soon as main supply fails, it energizes the starting relay of D.G. Set.
A start kick of approx. 5 sec. duration is applied followed by a rest period of approx. 5 secs.
If still the generator fails to start during the first kick then two more kicks are applied to restart the set.
If still the generator fails to start then it locks itself and a contact closes to give alarm that DG Set has failed to start.
As soon as D.G. Set starts a firing relay picks up (upon 30% voltage) and stops further kicks on starter.
When Generator has built up rated Voltage, it closes a contact to energize Generator ACB/contactor. Simultaneously a contact is opened to trip off the Mains ACB/Contactor.
Upon resumption of Mains supply it trips off Generator ACB/Contactor and Closes Mains ACB/Contactor. Thereafter it energizes the stopping solenoid of D. G. Set.
The Relay is now ready for next operation.
